OUTWARD BOUND JOBS FULL
As a non-profit, more than 2/3 of our students receive partial or full scholarships to go on a course with us in the High Sierra, Joshua Tree and in the Bay Area. With a 50 year history in the US, we provide extended, expeditionary style rock climbing, backpacking, mountaineering, urban, and service courses, serving ages 12 and up, including adult and veteran programs. We use the inherent challenge of the wilderness and urban outdoor spaces to teach people of all ages to be compassionate leaders, serve their communities, and build character to ultimately reveal the full potential within all of us. Outward Bound California is part of a national network of experiential and outdoor education programs for youth and adults. This opportunity is perfect for the individual looking to work as part of a small but powerful team driving the operations of our growing Joshua Tree program!
This position reports to and works closely with the Southern California Program Director (PD). Responsibilities include: course supervision ensuring quality training, programming, and community building and some business management. This person is a role model and mentor within the Outward Bound Joshua Tree community, providing daily leadership, administrative support, and management of the Joshua Tree basecamp and programming. The Program Manager (PM) is an integral part of the Southern California Management Team and overall wilderness program management. Salary Details: Salary range is $3000-3580 per month
